Minolta

The camera business ended in 2006 when it passed to Sony. No factory service or parts exist, so used Minolta bodies depend entirely on independent repair shops and donor cameras.

Minolta merged with Konica in 2003 and handed its camera line to Sony in 2006. Its manual-focus MD lenses are plentiful and cheap as a result. The flip side is that every repair on a Minolta film body now relies on independent technicians and parts pulled from other cameras.
