Diffused mode is the feature nobody mentions and the one that decides whether you keep it running past September. It sends the air out of the back of the machine instead of the front, so the room is being cleaned without a draught crossing it. Without that mode a purifying fan is unusable for half the year. With it, this is the rare machine that stays on through winter.

The remote is a small curved bar that parks magnetically on the top of the loop, and it holds well enough that people forget it is removable until it is not there. Everything essential lives on that remote or in the app, and the machine itself carries a single power button. Losing the remote is genuinely disabling in a way it is not on a unit with a control panel. Owner reports about setup point almost entirely at the Wi-Fi step rather than at the app itself; a new router usually means pairing again from scratch.

Sound is airflow, not motor. It stays civil at the low speeds you would leave running and turns into a broad rush at the top of the range, which is the same noise any bladeless fan makes when it is moving that much air. Night mode dims the display and caps the fan, and it is the setting most owners end up leaving on permanently in a bedroom.

A twelve-month interval sounds relaxed until you price the third one and realise the machine has a subscription attached. The physical design compounds it: this is a tall, light, top-heavy tower, and it goes over when a dog turns around too fast.
