- Quiet operation matters in an open-plan kitchen
Four quarts is genuinely small, and that is the point: it heats fast, fits where larger fryers do not, and costs little enough that it is an easy first purchase. The dehydrate mode is more useful than it sounds.
The fan is loud for the size, and for anything beyond two portions you are cooking in batches. Both are predictable consequences of the form factor rather than defects.
