The fourth of the six stages is a decision you make at checkout, before you have lived with the room. Pet allergy, germ defense, toxin absorber, odour remover — one slot, four options, and the one you pick is the one you keep buying. Most people choose in about a minute, based on the thing that annoyed them most that week. A household that buys the pet version and later develops a smoke problem is buying a new cartridge, not switching a setting.

The wall mount is the reason this machine exists and the reason half of them end up on the floor anyway. The bracket is included and the unit is light enough to hang, but it wants a stud and it wants an outlet at that height. The cord runs down the wall in plain view unless someone opens the wall to hide it. Owner reports follow a pattern: bought for the wall, mounted eventually, or never.

On speed one it is closer to silent than anything else in this comparison, and there is a second detail that matters more at night than the fan does. A light sensor dims the panel when the room goes dark, without being told. That is the exact behaviour that sends people back to return a cheaper machine, and here it is automatic rather than a mode you remember to select. Filters are rated at roughly two years of daily running, which sounds generous until the replacement arrives as a full kit at once. There is no third-party supply worth trusting, so the interval is long and the bill is whatever Rabbit Air decides. Across five years it is not obviously cheaper than a mid-range unit re-filtered twice a year; it is just less frequent.

Turn it up and the advantage evaporates. Top speed is an ordinary loud fan, and because the machine is rated for a large room at a modest air change rate, an open-plan space will have it working near the top of its range. Buy this for a bedroom you want silent, not for a living room you want scrubbed.
