Is it for you

Buy it if

  • Getting a machine repaired rather than replaced matters to you
  • You already run Samsung appliances and want one app for all of them
  • You have decided you will mop by hand anyway

Skip it if

  • You wanted one machine to vacuum and mop
  • You are optimizing for spec numbers per dollar

It does not mop. That one line settles most of the buying decision. If mopping is part of what you wanted automated, look at the Roborock and Dreame entries instead.

What you get in exchange is the least painful ownership story on this list: authorized service, parts that are actually stocked, and a warranty process that does not start with boxing the unit up. Look at a robot vacuum as a three-year purchase and that column starts carrying real weight.
