Plain to the point of anonymous, and a lot of the frame is plastic. Build is the weakest part of the package, and the headband adjustment mechanism is the component that appears most often in longer-term owner reports. It does not feel like a premium object in the hand even though it sounds like one.

Then there is the battery. Sixty hours is not a rounded-up thirty. You stop thinking about charging between trips, you stop carrying the cable, and the low-battery warning turns into a monthly event instead of a weekly one. The EQ brings the audio-focused crowd here. Sennheiser ships a multi-band graphic equalizer instead of a handful of presets, plus a sound-personalization routine, and the default tuning is restrained.
