The dust sensor ramps the motor up on dirty patches and backs it off on clean ones, which conserves runtime far more effectively than remembering to change modes yourself. The LED ring showing dirt level is a genuinely good piece of feedback.
The software around it is the weak part, and support is a manufacturer RMA. The hardware punches above its price; the ownership experience does not.
