VIVO STAND-V001O Single Monitor Desk Mount

Holds a 27-inch screen for very little money. Some units sag, and tuning the tension is fiddly.

Is it for you

Buy it if

  • You want to clear the monitor's stand off a small desk and rarely move the screen after
  • A second arm for a spare monitor that sees light use

Skip it if

  • You reposition the screen several times a day
  • The desktop has a finish you care about, unless you pad the clamp

VIVO has sold this arm for years, and some older retail listings still call it pneumatic. VIVO’s own page says mechanical spring, and that is what current units use.

A long-term owner review found it holds a 27-inch monitor without wobble and installs easily. The same review reports two problems: the bare clamp scratches desks unless you add padding, and quality varies from one unit to the next. Owner reviews at other retailers describe sag and trouble dialing in the tension.

Put together, it is an arm to set once and leave. If you plan to pull the screen forward for a call and push it back after, the tension adjustment will be a recurring job.

One naming trap. PCWorld called a different VIVO arm, the STAND-V002, the worst it tested. That verdict is about the V002, and people mix the two up.
