Is it for you

Buy it if

  • An iPhone, an iPad, and a Mac all in daily rotation
  • You move between devices constantly and want the handoff automatic
  • Call quality is a real part of your day

Skip it if

  • Android is your main phone, which strands most of the feature set
  • You want a high-bitrate codec for local files

What you are buying is the connection, not the sound. Audio follows you from phone to Mac to tablet without a menu, and opening the case puts the battery levels on screen. Small things, repeated a dozen times a day.

On Android it degrades into an ordinary pair of Bluetooth earbuds capped at AAC. If your phone runs Android, strike this off the list rather than talking yourself into it.
