Preset temperatures with a twenty-minute hold is the feature that quietly matters: water at 80 degrees for green tea without watching a thermometer, and still hot when you come back. The stainless interior means aggressive descaling does not degrade anything.
It is a kettle-shaped kettle, not a pour-over tool. The spout pours fast and wide, which is exactly wrong for a filter cone.
