- Pour-over coffee, where flow rate is part of the recipe
- You want to set a temperature to the degree
- The kettle lives on the counter and has to look right there
Skip it if
- You mainly fill mugs and pots — the narrow spout is slow for that
- Under a litre is not enough for a household
The gooseneck plus the counterweighted handle give the slowest, most controllable pour of anything here, which is the entire point for filter coffee. Single-degree temperature setting and a hold mode complete the package.
For general kitchen duty it is the wrong tool: under a litre of capacity and a spout designed to pour slowly means filling a teapot is an exercise in patience.
