The design is the nicest of the group — a machined-look top with a grooved texture that resists fingerprints. Paired with WD’s backup and encryption software, it is the easiest drive here to hand to someone non-technical.
Performance is mid-pack and the shell is not rated for anything in particular. It is an office and travel drive rather than a field one.
