Everything about this is over-engineered: the shell, the gasket, the latches, the hinges. It holds ice longer than the imitators, and it survives treatment that splits injection-molded boxes outright.
The price is the argument against, and it is a real one. On a two-day trip with a store down the road, you are paying for a margin you will never use.
