The value case is genuinely strong: LDAC, fifty hours, and cancellation that handles a commute without complaint. Nobody who buys these expects them to match the top of the group, and they do not need to.
Where the money went missing is in materials and in the last ten percent of tuning. The plastics creak, the hinges are the first thing owners report failing, and the cancellation lets more of the mid-range through than the flagships do.
